Water Crisis in Selangor
In February and March 2014, Selangor
is facing a water crisis. A few areas in Selangor have been facing a serious
water crisis for a few days such as Desa Petaling, Salak Selatan in Petaling District , Taman Setia,
Taman Cheras Jaya in Hulu Langat District, Taman Dahlia, Taman Desa Vista in Sepang
District, Kampung Kebun Bunga , Subang Mas in Klang District and Bandar Seri
Ehsan, Bandar Sungai Emas in Kuala Langat District.
The
estimation population that would face water disruption
In Selangor, there are 7
dams in total and according to the latest statistic, it shows that out of 7
dams, 3 dams are experiencing water level below 80% of the capacity which is
consider quite critical.

All of us know that water is
very important to us because it is one of the basic needs for us to survive,
and not only human needs water but all living organisms in this world need
water. We need water to carry out the daily routines such as shower, washing
clothes, watering plants, cooking, and also for us to drink. Other than daily
routines, we need water for the industrial use as well such as agriculture and
aquaculture. So it is important for us to work on this problem.
